What's Spine Flow Yoga?

Spine Flow Yoga is a unique form of yoga that aims to liberate the spine from pain and rigidity, enhance flexibility and stability throughout the body & flatten the tummy.

It does this by employing unique methods that focus on:

  • creating segmental stability and fluid mobility within the spinal column
  • increasing range of motion through the joints
  • generating flexibility through the muscle groups known as 'mobilisers'

Helped my healing!

I just wanted to say how timely and helpful it has been for me to find your website and course. I have been teaching yoga for just over a year, coming to it some time ago motivated by back problems. Last week I had a bit of an 'episode', enough to require I down tools for the week and visit the Chiropractor. During the (actually really lovely) time I had there was plenty of space for reflection...hmm synchronicities occurring here perhaps?! Nurture Away!

I find Peter a very easy instructor to listen to and understand. I use the Spine Flow Yoga videos as a simple way to let go of my daily stresses and to alleviate backache from lengthy periods spent at the desk. The one-hour session really gives my whole body a good stretch! What is interesting is the feeling of being calm, relaxed and alert. Normally I start to feel tired when I wind down and relax, so this was new for me. What I like about the videos is that you can listen to your body and perform the sequences at your own pace. They're shot in a very calming setting and Peter has a soothing voice, you can almost feel yourself in the room with him - like you're on vacation at one of his exotic retreats! The Gentle Spine Yoga video, at 35 minutes, is easy to fit into your day especially when you're time poor like me. Peter, what a wonderful program you offer, it's great for both beginners and long-time yogis like me. I look forward to trying out more of your online classes and incorporating them into my daily life.

The Iron Shirt routine promotes correct postural support by tightening the waistline.

Essential to a healthy strong spine is having a midsection that's as strong as an iron shirt.

I'm not talking about a six-pack, no, they're just for curling your trunk off the mat and showing off.

The iron shirt I'm referring to are the TVA muscles that wrap around your midsection like a corset.
